It’s been far too long since the camera(s) made it far from home… so I was quite excited for our trip to the Galapagos and mainland Ecuador. Unfortunately a few mishaps (dropped camera, broken and jammed filter, GoPro left at home) made shooting a little more challenging than I had hoped but here’s a few shots that tell at least some of the story. We flew into Quito, Ecuador’s capital, and made our way to the edge of the Amazon outside Tena, after which we returned to Quito for a flight to San Cristóbal island in the Galápagos with a day visit to the nearby uninhabited (by humans) Isla Lobos. Our flight home left from Guayaquil, and while I gave my camera a bit of a rest there I’ve included a shot from the top of the lighthouse as a quick cameo.
